Detailed itinerary
Day1: Transfer to Bukavu- DR Congo
In the morning, you will be picked by the driver from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Cyangugu boarder on the way to Bukavu in DR Congo. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza, and the Rwanda genocide memorial site. After lunch, continue on a scenic journey to Bukavu with wonderful views of the hills in Rwanda through the tropical forest of Nyungwe National park and a clear view of Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at Panorama Hotel
Day 3: Lowland Gorilla tracking tour in Kahuzi Biega
In the morning, you will head for the memorable adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National park. Tracking lowland Gorillas is very amazing, lowland Gorillas differ from the mountain gorillas, the lowland gorillas are bigger in size, usually takes 1-4 hours tracking the lowland Gorillas. The lowland Gorillas stay in bigger families as compared to mountain gorillas; you will not regret the safari effort once you meet the amazing Gorillas! Day 3: Hike mount Kahuzi Biega National Park
After an early morning breakfast at a your hotel, you will then participate in Mount Kahuzi biega hike which will help you watch a number of attractions like the numerous bird species for instance; like yellow crested- helmet shrike, sunbirds, trogons, Graud’s broad bill, Shelley’s crimson wing, Congo peafowl, Rwenzori Batis, Dusky turtle love, paradise flycatcher, double collared sunbird, marsh harrier, long-crested eagle handsome Francolin as you hike mount Kahuzi and Biega. You will also get the chance to see rewarding views of the mountains as you get to see a number of primates swinging from one tree branch to another, you will also get the chance to see rewarding views of lake kivu
Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali
After your safari you will then make your way back to Kigali city. On reaching Kigali, you can take part in Kigali city tour if time is willing. After you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city or Kigali international airport.
