Gorilla Trekking
The volcanoes National Park located in the north-western part of Rwanda in Musanze is home to a huge number of gorillas, and gorilla trekking is the most popular activity among visitors. The Volcanoes National Park is an excellent site for individuals interested in gorilla trekking, with around 18 habituated gorilla families available for trekking. Tourists will be separated into groups and allocated a family to hike with for around an hour. Chimpanzee Trekking

Nyungwe National Park features around 500 habituated chimps and 90 habituated gorilla populations, all of which are exposed to the public all year. Thirty of these habituated chimp populations are situated in the Cyamudongo forest, with the remaining 60 in the Nyungwe forest.
Chimpanzee trekking is often done in the morning, as early as 5:00 a.m. following a briefing from the authorities on what to expect. Nyungwe forest national park has three sections from which to begin your trek: the Uwinka portion, the Kitabi section, and the Gisakura section.
Golden Monkey trekking
Because the Rwandan government has not imposed a restriction on the number of visitors per day, golden-monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park is easy to incorporate into your jungle vacation. However, because the monkeys are uncommon and endangered, we recommend that you take the same care as you would for mountain gorilla trekking. Guests are separated into groups of no more than eight people, with each group allocated to one of the habituated golden monkey armies.
