Ferry Crossing at Murchison Falls National Park: Murchison falls is Uganda’s treacherous gem gifted with 76 mammal species, 450 bird species and over 600 chimpanzees in Budongo forest. Murchison falls national park was the first national park to be gazetted in Uganda and also the country’s largest with an area of 3,893 kilometers squared.
Murchison falls national park is bisected by the stunning river Nile which is the worlds longest crossing nine countries before ending it’s journey at the Mediterranean sea, the Nile flows from jinja town in eastern Uganda and dramatically gushes between a 7 meter wide space rushing down the rocks of the great rift valley escapement 45 meters below.

Murchison falls national Apr is only not about ferry crossing the park is home to various animals such as elephants, budmffalos, hartebeests, antelopes, water bucks, lions, leopards, girrafes, bush bucks, hippopotamus and so much more.
Murchison falls national park is also a birders paradise where bird enthusiasts can have great opportunities of viewing some of the 450 species of birds found in the park, the best birding areas are kaniyo pabidi forest, near Karuma falls and also in the Nile for water falls.
Launch boat cruises are also scheduled twice a day in Murchison falls national park; tourists can have their packed lunch in a boat while watching animals at the magnificent river banks. Tourists will end at the bottom of the breathtaking Murchison falls and disembark from their boat to explore the top of the falls.
Chimpanzee tracking can also be done at Murchison falls national park, chimpanzees are mans closest relative sharing 98% DNA with humans. Alongside tracking chimpanzees tourists will encounter other primates like black and white colobus monkey, olive baboon to mention a few.
