Trip Description
Day 1: Day visit to Fazenda Sengha in Kigali and afternoon transfer to Lake Kivu
Your driver guide will be stationed at your communicated pick up point and once you are ready to set out for your Rwanda safari, you will meet up with him, have a briefing and head out to the Fazenda Sengha recreation centre. You will enjoy a horse ride on one of the horses or you may opt to take on a zipline experience. Take some time to enjoy the quad bikes and connect back to Kigali town for lunch.
After lunch, you will drive about 4 hours to Lake Kivu to enjoy the sandy shores of Lake Kivu. You will catch the sunset and enjoy some sundowner drinks at the shore. If you are interested in an evening private boat trip on the lake, that can be organized. Before it gets dark, you will head out to your hotel in Gisenyi where you will be spending the night.

Day 2: Leisure day at Lake Kivu
You will wake up at leisure and enjoy bed breakfast from your room and once you are ready to leave the lodge, you will arrange your property and head back to Lake Kivu for a boat trip to a nearby island and be back in time for lunch. You may opt to have lunch at the lake shores and soak your feet in water as you enjoy the day.
If you opt to return to your hotel, you will enjoy a couple’s massage treat from the hotel. Get to enjoy the hotel amenities. As the day ends, a poolside or by the fire dinner will be set up for 2 and you will enjoy your dinner as you watch stars in the sky. You will spend another night in Gisenyi.
Day 3: Dian Fossey Fund memorial visit and back to Kigali.
Get ready to leave Gisenyi with a tasty breakfast at your hotel. Prepare your belongings and check out of your accommodation and head to Musanze for an enroute visit at the Dian Fossey Gorilla fund museum where you will have a 3D representation of the Virunga mountains and learn more about the works of Dian Fossey, the gorilla mother, who dedicated most of her life to the conservation of the mountain gorillas.
You will connect further to Kigali for drop off at your preferred location be your booked hotel or at the Kigali International airport.
