Day 1, Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kanombe International Airport, you will be picked up by one of our guide professionals. He will welcome you, greet you and brief you on your trip to Rwanda. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel des Mille Collines for luxury /Hotel ChezLando for Budget/Golden Hills Hotel for mid range

Day 2, Kigali city tour

After breakfast, you will, leave your Hotel in Kigali and set out for the whole day city tour in Kigali. You will visit places such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial sites of Gisozi and Murambi, The National Museum of Rwanda in Butare which will provide you with more information about the Rwanda’s history and culture, also visit the King’s Palace in Nyanza for a cultural description about the history of Rwanda. At the museum of Butare you will have a spectacular performance of the national ballet with the Intore-dancers. The performance is regarded by many as one of the highlights of their tour in Rwanda. You will have a night stay in Butare at Ibis Hotel/ Credo hotel.

Day 3, Transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park

After a morning breakfast, you will transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. En route visit the new Visitor’s Interpretive Centre to give you more information about the park such as number of primate species found in the park, types of bird species and other tourist activities carried out with in the Park. Proceed and check into your Hotel for Lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for Colobus Monkey trekking. To be able to do the activity, you will have to hiking through lush forests, endless, green tea fields while taking the stunning views of the surroundings. Day 4, Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest

After breakfast, report to the park headquarters in Nyungwe forest for briefing before going for chimpanzee tracking. However, it is advisable to organize packed lunch and plenty of water prior to this expedition since it can sometimes last over 6 hours. In the forest, you will not only see chimpanzees to but also variety of animals and birds like the Rwenzori Turacco, black and white casqued horn bill, colobus monkeys – sometimes as many as 400 in a group. Day 5, Transfer to Gisenyi

After breakfast, you will continue with your safari to Gisenyi town. This offers beautiful and excellent views of Lake Kivu and it’s a great place to relax while feeling its waterfront and sandy beaches. Upon arrival, you will have and then spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or visit the host springs which will help you learn more about the formation of the Virunga Volcanic Mountains. Alternatively you can also visit the local projects in the area and interact with project members or visit the local artisans and a local women’s weaving association. Overnight in Gisenyi town

Day 6, Boat ride on Lake Kivu and transfer to Ruhengeri

After breakfast, you will have a boat ride on Lake Kivu. After this you will transfer to Ruhengeri. En route you will visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village where you may have a wonderful and interactive experience about the Rwandan traditions, culture and way of life. After this you will continue to the Park reaching in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for Luxury/ Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge for Mid range/Kinigi Guest house or Muhabura lodge for Budget.

Day 7, Gorilla trekking in Parc National Des Volcans

Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the ORTPN officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. This experience of gorilla tracking is a once in a life time adventure. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search for the Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour.

The activity in Rwanda can take 3-5 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awe some and exciting moment. Enroute there are a lot of chimpanzees and other types of the primates such as the monkeys, birds and so more. Return for lunch at the Lodge and in the afternoon, visit the Karisoke research center and the graves of Diane Fossey a woman who was murdered because she was protecting these endangered mountain Gorillas. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for Luxury/Gorilla nest lodge or Virunga Lodge for Mid range/Kinigi Guest house or Muhabura lodge for Budget.

Day 8, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda

After breakfast, you will transfer to Katuna Border (Rwanda-Ugandan border). After clearing with the customs and immigrations department, you will transfer to Kabale Town for lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi reaching in the afternoon. Spend the rest of the afternoon on the boat ride touring most of the Islands on the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi safari Resort/Bunyonyi Overland Camp.

Day 9, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, you will have a short game drive and later have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for the afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers good platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Day 10, Morning game drive and transfer to Fort portal

After a fully served breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in search for early risers. The park has diverse eco-system of grassy plains, rivers, crater lakes, forests, swamps and lakes. These are a home to various types of wildlife and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth will reward you with views of animals such as lions, leopards, forest hogs, buffalos, elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Kob and other types of antelopes. Return to your Lodge for lunch and after you will transfer to Fort portal town. Reach in the evening, dinner and overnight at Fort motel/Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 11, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After Break fast at the Hotel, you will depart for Murchison Falls National Park. You will have lunch in Kagadi. Proceed with the journey to Kibale forest. Day 12, Game drive and launch cruise along the Albert Nile

After an early breakfast, you will go for a game drive on the Northern Bank of River Nile. The activity takes about 3-5 hours and Wildlife in the Park includes elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, Uganda kobs, Oribis and waterbucks. After the drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the Albert Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. Day 13, Transfer to Jinja

Have a morning breakfast and depart to Jinja. Enroute you will pass via Kampala and continue to connect to Jinja. Upon arrival, you will visit the source of River Nile and get a chance to see where the mighty River Nile (Longest River in Africa) starts its journey all the way to Mediterranean Sea. Have lunch in Jinja town and after transfer to a point where white water rafting thrilling adventure starts at Bujagali falls. Day 14, White Water Rafting

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bujagali falls and the starting point for White water rafting for a full day white water rafting adventure on the Nile. In the evening you will visit the source of River Nile and Jinja Town for a short tour. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 15, Transfer back to Kampala

After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala. Enroute you will Visit Mabira forest and Sezibwa falls. Continue to Kampala with another stop over at Namugongo Martyrs shrine. Day 16, Departure
