Choosing to participate in this 5 days Bwindi impenetrable National Park and Akagera National Park safari will give you the opportunity to access a number of different attractions when you embark on the wildlife safaris in Rwanda and the primate safari in Uganda. With the wildlife tours in Rwanda, you will get to visit Akagera national park where you will participate in the game drives in Akagera national park which will give you access to the big five animals on the wild, you will also take part in the boat cruise in lake Ihema and when you get to visit Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will have the opportunity to visit home to half of the word’s remaining mountain gorillas when you visit Bwindi impenetrable national park which will give you the opportunity to watch the endangered mountain gorillas in Africa when you participate in gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will also have the chance to participate in the Kigali city tour in the wild for a memorable safari experience in the countries while you embark on the Uganda safaris and the Rwanda safaris.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi forest
Depending on your location in Kigali, our company representative and guide will meet you and later you will embark on your journey to Bwindi with en route lunch continue to Kisoro district where you will connect to your lodge where you will spend the evening relaxing at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community rest camp/ Buhoma Haven Lodge.
Day 2: Bwindi gorilla trekking
Breakfast will be served early, depart with your lunch park and report to the park headquarters for an important briefing by the park ranger guides about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. It is also here that you will be allocated which gorilla group to trek. You will then head into the steep slopes of Bwindi impenetrable national park and trek until you find the mountain gorillas. This can last between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed 1 hour to view, photograph and record small videos as you please and later return to the assembly point for your certificate. Your guide will be waiting to transfer back to the lodge where you will spend the evening at leisure recovering from the trek. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali
Wake up early morning have breakfast at your hotel and later transfer to Kigali city where you will reach in time for lunch and later on you will participate in the Kigali city tour where you will visit the kimironko market, Kigali genocide memorial museum and many other sites. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel des Mille Collines
Day 4: Transfer to Akagera national park and Ihema Boat Cruise.
You will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera national park where you will arrive in time to participate in the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see game like hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and many bird species like the endangered shoe bill stork, African King fishers catching their prey from the Lake that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. Day 5: full day game drive and transfer to Kigali.
Rise up early and go for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals like the herbivores, the big five animals in Rwanda which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill. After the game drive, return to connect with your driver guide to embark on your transfer back to Kigali. If you didn’t have a city tour on the first day, you may have it on this day before you are dropped off in Kigali or at the airport as you may advise.
