2 Days Mount Sabyinyo Hike in Uganda from Kigali : Mount sabyinyo can only be hiked from the Ugandan side and it among the Virunga mountain ranges which are shared by both Uganda and Rwanda when you visit Volcanoes national park and Mgahinga National Park. Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
At a location of your choice in kampala city or at an agreed location in the city, you will be picked up by your guide to transfer you to Mgahinga national park where you will participate in mount sabyinyo hike which will give you access to a number of rewarding attractions in the wild. On your way to the park, you will have a stopover at kayabwe at the equator where you will participate in the northern and southern hemisphere experiments. You will have en-route lunch at Mbarara. Continue with your drive to the park having spectacular views of the farmlands, traditional homesteads, tea plantations and many more. You will also have stopovers for photography to soak in the beauty of the west. Upon arrival in the park, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay
Day 2: Mount sabyinyo hike
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will transfer to the park to trhe headquarters where you will participate in the briefing session which will give you an insight in the safari experience. After the experience, you will then be assigned to a guide who will take you on your safari to hike mount sabyinyo.
During the safari experience/ hike there are a number of different attractions that you will get to atch like the different primates like the mona monkey, hamlyn’s monkey, blacj and white colobus monkey, silver monkey and so on and you will also watch a number of bird species like the long-crested eagle handsome Francolin, Rwenzori Batis Dusky turtle love, paradise flycatcher, archer’s ground robin, African Rwenzori, double collared sunbird, marsh harrier, Ruwenzori turaco, common moorhen Ruwenzori night jar, grey throated tit, the dusky crimson wing, red-faced woodland warbler and many more.
Don’t forget to carry your camera because of the different features you will watch. After the safari experience, you will connect with your guide who will transfer you back to kampala city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice and the end of your safari experience.
