4 Days Murchison Falls National Park
Unlike the usual 3 days Murchison Falls wildlife safari, this 4 days Murchison Falls package highlights both wildlife viewing and Chimpanzee tracking.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer for Murchison Falls National Park
On this day, you will be picked, depending on your location in Kampala and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park-Uganda’s largest national park. The park is a habitat for big 4 game including elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards. However you will have a stopover for about 2 to 3 hours at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. After there, embark on your journey to the home of the magnificent falls, adding you 2 more hours to arrive at the park. Upon arrival at the park late afternoon, connect to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise along the bottom of the falls
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a morning game drive on the Northern Bank of River Nile. The activity takes about 3-5 hours and be able to view variety of wildlife including elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, Uganda kobs, Oribis and waterbucks.
After the drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the along the Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants and bee-eater. You will take time viewing the falls at the bottom while taking pictures and return to meet your driver or you can opt to hike up to the top of the falls through Bakers trail and be met by your driver at the top to return to your lodge to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at as above.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking at Kaniyo padibi in Budongo forest
Wake up very early, have breakfast then drive to Budongo forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience in Kaniyo Padibi, meet your ranger guide for briefing before heading in the forest. The search is about 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees and on finding them, you will spend an hour with them while taking pictures.
Later afternoon drive back to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of your afternoon relaxing at the lodge or you could visit the community in the park and be entertained with their cultural music and dance. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 4; Transfer back to Kampala
After morning breakfast, head out of the park for your transfer back to Kampala or connect directly to Entebbe airport for your ongoing flight back home. This is a 4-5 hours drive.
