3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Safari Overview
Day 1, Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast at your hotel in Kampala early morning, after you will be picked up by our experienced Driver guide who will transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park via Mubende to begin your 3 days Uganda Chimpanzee tracking tour.
This is found in the Southwestern districts of Kibale and Kamwenge and Mubende districts. Have a stopover at Mityana for lunch, then continue in the afternoon where you will have a chance to view the striking panorama of the area. Visit the Fort portal town in the afternoon and also visit the Toro King’s Place. Proceed to Kibale for check in at your Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge or Ndali Lodge for Luxury/ Kibale forest Lodge for Mid range/ chimpanzee guest house for Budget.
Day 2; Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
After breakfast, you will set out for Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. During your search, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colorful variety of butterflies.
Return to the Lodge for lunch. After lunch go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area and look out for most of the water loving bird species. The forest /Park has almost 335 species of birds and there fore a good place for birders. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3, Fort portal city tour and transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, have a short fort portal city tour and visit the Toro (King’s Palace) and the stalagmites and stalactites of Amabeere Ganyina mwiru. You will have enroute in either Mityana or Mubende town. You will arrive in Kampala in the afternoon. Drop off will be at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe airport for your departure marking the end of your 3 Days Uganda Chimpanzee tracking safari.
