This 1 day chimpanzee habituation in Kibale National Park will lead you to Kibale National Park the primate hub of Uganda which will give you access to the chimpanzee troops that are trained to get accustomed to human presence. Chimpanzee habituation in Uganda is carried out in Bugoma Forest, Budongo Forest, and Kibale national park. Among the different national parks, Kibale National Park is the most notable chimpanzee habituation destination in Uganda which will give you more chances to participate in the experience because of the fact that the park is home to the largest gorilla habituation troops in Uganda.
For travelers around Kibale national park in areas like Kasese, Kabarole, and so on, you will be picked up at exactly 5:30 am to transfer you to the park to participate in the activity. When you reach the park, you will present your chimpanzee habituation permit to the park’s receptionist for verification, and after you will participate in the briefing session to understand the rules and regulations for chimpanzee habituation in Uganda, after the safari experience you will then make your way to hike through the kibale forests which will give you access to a number of attractions from the bird species like; the blue turaco, Ross’s turaco, coqui Francolin, long tailed cisticola, bubbling cisticola, Miombo wren warbler, Chubb’s cisticola among other the bird species. You will also get to watch primates like the Mona monkey, vervet monkey, silver monkey, and dent’s monkey among other attractions. When you get to the habituation troop you will spend four hours with them understanding a number of their different features as they go about their daily activities. What is interesting about the safari is the fact that you will get to participate in the training session which will give you more time with the species. After the safari experience, you will make your way back to your starting point where you will be presented with a chimpanzee habituation permit after you shall be dropped off at a location of your choice and the end of your safari experience.
