Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and a boat cruise
Our guide will pick you up at exactly 7 am at a location of your choice and brief you about 4 days Bwindi Gorillas and Lake Mburo Safari and embark on your journey to the breathtaking Lake Mburo National Park. You will pass through the Kampala Masaka highway, and we shall have a stopover at Mpambire Drum Makers where you will have a chance to see how local African drums in Uganda a made. After the interesting affair, you will continue to Lake Mburo National Park through the different trails to your lodge, you will have a chance to spot a number of animals like zebras, warthogs, elands, warthogs, waterbucks, and so on. Lunch will be served at your lodge and later on, you will go for an evening boat cruise. During your evening boat cruise, you will have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, topis, and several bird species including water birds like the African kingfisher, cormorant, fish eagle, pelican, heron, and many more. After the thrilling activity, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and transfer back Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early morning breakfast, you will participate in an early, morning game drive where you will have a chance to see the different animal species like the elands, buffalos, zebras, impalas, and so on. After the game drive you will make your way to Bwindi impenetrable national park which you will reach late in the afternoon. Check into your hotel, freshen up, and relax at your hotel as you await dinner.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Have an early morning breakfast at 6:30 am and with packed lunch boxes. You will be picked up by your driver guide to transfer you to park headquarters for a briefing about gorillas. After, you will make your way to the habituated gorilla family which you will get to spend an hour with when you get in contact with them. The gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park will take between 2-7 hours when you get in contact with them take their pictures, and watch their behavioral patterns in the wild. After the safari experience, you will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. At Lake Bunyonyi, you will participate in the boat cruise on Uganda’s deepest lake where you can visit Akampene Island which has a unique history, you will watch a number of bird species and if you’re interested you can also go swimming in the bilharzia free waters. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala /Entebbe
After an early morning breakfast, you will check out the lodge and go on a village walk to understand more about the culture of the people of Uganda and their unique cultures. After you will make your way back to kampala having a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. After you will make your back to be dropped off at a location of your choice in kampala city or Entebbe International Airport.
