Day 1: Transfer to Mabamba swamp
At a location of choice in Kampala city or Entebbe International airport, your guide for the safari will pick you up and transfer you to the Mabamba swamp, where you will enjoy participating in birding in Uganda. On reaching the swamp, you will take part in the nature walks at the Entebbe botanical gardens in search of several different bird species that can be seen, such as the northern masked weavers. After the safari experience, you will have lunch and then participate in the community tour visiting the locals to understand more about their culture through their food, arts and crafts, traditional dances, and so on. After your community tour, head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Shoebill stork tracking
After an early morning breakfast, go on a canoe trip to search for the endangered shoebill stork. The safari experience will give you the chance to enjoy the canoe ride, searching for the shoebill stork, and you will also get to watch the African pygmy goose and many other rewarding bird species. After the safari, you will visit craft villages where you can purchase souvenirs and then head to kampala city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice or Entebbe international airport to mark the end of your 2 days Mabamba swamp safari
