Detailed itinerary for 6 Days Murchison falls and Bwindi impenetrable national park Safari

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your safari driver-guide will pick you up, brief you about the safari and then begin a long drive to Murchison Falls National Park found in north eastern Uganda. Along the way you will have lunch in Masindi and a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will get a chance to trck rhinos on foot.

The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you will get to see the rhinos in the wild and track them on foot, the sanctuary was established in 2005 to restore the rhino species which had become total extinct in the country. Later you will transfer to the Murchison Falls National Park where you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Murchison falls morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Wake up to a tasty breakfast in the Murchison falls national park and set out for another eventful day. Your driver guide will be waiting for you to get ready and set to embark on the second game drive in the Murchison falls national park. You will follow a different trail for a different experience and a chance to spot more wildlife. Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel on your 4th day of your 6 Days Murchison falls and Bwindi impenetrable national park Safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which takes about 7-9 hours. On the way you will enjoy great views of rolling hills in Uganda, the beautiful homestead, terraced farmlands, beautiful scenery among others. Upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

On your 5th day of your 6 Days Murchison falls and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Safari after an early breakfast, you will carry packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing you will start trekking in the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas which takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking you will be able to view other primate species such as l’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, different plant species, birds among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to observe their habits, behaviors, watch gorillas feed, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos and record the breathtaking moments to show people back home after the safari. After the one hour encounter with the gentle giants you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking. After the safari experience will can either participate in the cultural tour or get the opportunity to visit the batwa people that were previously forest people that have a number of unique cultural aspects from their local dances and many more. Day 6: Departure to Kampala /Entebbe

After an early morning breakfast and make your way back to Kampala a stopover at the equator at Kayabwe, you will also have lunch.
