Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Depending on a location of your choice in Kampala city, your guide will pick you up and take you through the briefing of the activities that you will take part in, the rules and regulations while in the wild, and the Uganda safari. After briefing, you will embark on your journey to the Murchison Falls National Park, en route, you will pass through different towns, having the first stopover in Masindi town a fruit growing sector in Uganda where you will enjoy feasting on a number of organic fruits like pineapples, mangoes, papaws, oranges, jackfruit and others. After feasting on a number of fruits, you will proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will spend some time watching the endangered white rhinos up close by going to their feeding areas, you will also get to see a number of bird species, animals species like the Oribi, reedbucks, bushbucks, duikers and so on. Important to note about the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the fact that the sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you will get to access the rhinos. After rhino tracking, you will have en route lunch and later on, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park where you will take part in the top of the falls hike an activity that will ensure you have an amazing time enjoying rewarding views of Murchison Falls after the rewarding safari, you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and evening launch cruise
On the second day of your top Big Five safari in Uganda, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide for the safari who will transfer you to the park to take part in the early morning game drive. During the morning drive, you will get to see a number of early risers in the park, catching their first bite of the day. The park is known for having large numbers of animals along the different game trails like the paraa area where you will get to see Rothschild’s giraffe, antelopes, and jackals among other animal species grazing in the plains.
After your game drive, you will be transferred to your hotel for relaxation and lunch. Later on in the evening, you will be transferred to the park to take part in the evening launch cruise. During the launch cruise, you will get to see a number of animals like buffalos, elephants, crocodiles sun basking and waiting on the prey, hippos a number of water birds, and other rewarding attractions. The ride will take you to the bottom of the falls which is beautiful once seen. After the rewarding experience, you will transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to kampala
On the last day of your top big five safari in Uganda, after an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the park to take part in the morning game drive. Your guide will transfer you to the northern side with the highest concentration of game animals like zebras, duikers, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, and other early risers and they get ready for the day of grazing, you will also get to see the carnivores going back to their hiding spots in the park, for instance, the lions, leopards, hyenas and many more after the rewarding experience you will transfer to Kampala city.
