Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and canopy walk
From an agreed location in Kigali city, you will make your way to Nyungwe Forest National Park, having a stopover at the King’s palace in Nyanza, where you will visit the king’s palace and also have an insight into the culture of the people of Rwanda before colonialism. After the experience, head to the park and participate in the canopy walk, a rewarding activity that will give you access to an aerial view of the park. You will watch primates swinging within the trees in the park. You will enjoy watching the park from a bird’s view as you enjoy the walk along the metallic walkway. After the safari experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngabwe trail experience
Have breakfast and then make your way to Kitabi visitor center to participate in the Ngabwe trail experience. The trail will give you access to several primates, such as the endangered colobus monkeys, such as the black and white colobus monkeys, the Rwenzori colobus monkeys, the Angola colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, the silver monkey, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and many other primates. Some of the bird species that can be seen include Ross’s turaco, coqui Francolin, long-tailed cisticola, bubbling cisticola, Miombo wren warbler, Chubb’s cisticola, and many other rewarding attractions. After the experience, head back to your starting point, meet up with the guide, and make your way back to Kigali city for drop off, and this will mark the end of your 2 Days Ngabwe Trail Experience in Rwanda.
