Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
At an agreed location in Kigali city, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to Nyungwe national park southwards of the country. The journey to the park will give you access to several different attractions, including exceptional views of the rolling hills of Rwanda. You will have a stopover at the king’s palace to have a look at the culture of the people of Rwanda and also get to understand how they have evolved over the years. After the experience, you will make your way to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
Wake up, have breakfast, and later on participate in chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda. The safari experience will take you on a journey hiking through the forests in search of the chimpanzee troops. When you get to the troops, you will spend an hour observing their daily activities, taking their pictures. After the safari experience, you will head back to your hotel for lunch and later in the afternoon, you will participate in the canopy walk, an interesting activity that will give you an amazing experience that will give you the chance to watch the park from an aerial view, you will watch several primates swinging within the tree branches, exceptional views of the park among other rewarding attractions. After the experience, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Birding and departure
After an early morning breakfast, you will head into the park and participate in a full-day birding experience in Nyungwe National Park. This will give you access to bird species like: White-breasted Cormorants, Pied Kingfishers, Osprey, Double-tooth Barbet, Yellow-bellied Waxbill, Familiar Chat, Brown-throated Wattle-eye, and Spot-flanked Barbet, Chapin’s flycatcher, Rwenzori Batis, strange weaver, red-throated alethe.
