1 Day Musanze City Tour: Musanze city is home to Volcanoes National Park, famous for the mountain gorillas in Africa that can be seen when you participate in gorilla trekking in Rwanda. In this 1 day Musanze city tour, you will have the opportunity to step away from the gorilla tours in Rwanda and then get to explore the home of gorilla safaris in Rwanda, Musanze city, which has several experiences to offer to different travelers interested in adventure experiences, cultural tours, and many other experiences.
As early as 6:00 am, your guide will pick you up from Kigali city to transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, which will take about 3 hours to make your way to the park. The drive to the park will give you access to several rewarding views, like the rolling hills of Rwanda and the coffee and tea plantations. On reaching the city at around 10:00 am or even earlier, depending on the traffic situation on your way to Musanze city. The first stop when you make your way to the city, you will get to explore the Musanze caves that are believed to be more than 1000 years old, with geographical and historical wonders. Interesting about the caves were once used as coronation grounds for the kings of Rwanda. In the caves, you will watch several bird species. As you embark on the walking safaris within the caves, you will watch small creatures like bats, among others. After exploring the caves, you will make your way to the city market, where you will walk through the vibrant market that offers several experiences as you engage with the different vendors. You will visit souvenir shops to buy handicrafts and textiles. After the experience, you will have lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy some local Rwandan food. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will make your way to the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo to participate in the boat cruise, which will give you access to several water birds. You will enjoy the cool breeze and many other attractions, and you will enjoy the panoramic views of the Virunga mountains in Rwanda. After the safari experience, you will participate in the Ibyi’wacu cultural tour that will give you the chance to understand the culture of the people of Rwanda through their cultural dances, folk songs, traditional dishes, and many other attractions. After the safari experience, you will make your way back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice, and this will mark the end of your 1 day musanze city tour.
