Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Depending on your point of location in either kampala city or Entebbe international airport after landing in Uganda you will be picked up by our safari guide who will brief you about your gorilla trekking experience in Uganda and Lake Bunyonyi. After the briefing session, you will be transferred back to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, south western part of Uganda which will take you about 9 hours to reach the park. You will have en-route lunch at Mbarara. Continues with your drive to the park having spectacular views of the farmlands, traditional homesteads, tea plantations and many more. You will also have stopovers for photography to soak in the beauty of the west. Upon arrival in the park, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma heaven
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will head to the Buhoma park headquarters where you will have a short briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking in Uganda to ensure you have a safe experience in the park. After the briefing session, you will get to hike through the impenetrable forest. The trek can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour with them. After the hike, you will head back to the park headquarters meet your safari driver to transfer you back to the lodge for refreshments. Later you will participate in the Batwa trail experience which will give you an insight of the formerly forest people that have a number of unique culture and value that you will get to learn., dinner and overnight stay as the night before.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will check out of the lodge connect with your driver guide to transfer to Kigali city. On reaching to the park, you will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
Breakfast will be served early meet your driver guide for your transfer to volcanoes national park. On reaching, you will participate in Ibyi’wacu cultural village tour. Have a guided walk around the village at the different sites that exhibit the different aspects of the people of at the village to have a insight about the interesting features of the culture of the people of Rwanda. Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel. our guide will meet you after having your breakfast and your lunches packed and he will take you to Kinigi Headquarters where you are expected to be given a brief before starting the gorilla trek. This brief is done at 7 am. You are given guidelines during this brief before you are allowed to start the trek. This gorilla trek can take to about 2 hours- 7 hours depending in the species which you will get to spend an hour with them observing a number of their rewarding features including how they go about their daily activities from watching the leaders of the group, the silverbacks who have all the mating rights with all the females of the group.
Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and transfer back
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will head to the park headquarters to participate in the briefing session for golden monkey trekking. After the session, you will participate in the golden monkey trekking which will lead you to the Virunga mountains in Rwanda that you will hike to access the habituated golden monkey troops. You will get to observe how they go about their daily activities in the wild. The golden monkeys van be accessed when you hike the Virunga mountains in Rwanda which will lead you to the habituated gorilla families watching how they co-exist with one another, the environment and many other rewarding features.
